What would the Fan Zone be without a few threads? So I shall begin with a few favorites of my own. I got into the TV series rather late in the game but it quickly became one of my favorites. My only complaint would be the overuse of Matrix style slow mo shots during fight scenes but that is a small complaint at best. I got used to it and it doesn't change the flow of the storyline. So here's the place to discuss LotS in general. and to start things off here's an awesome lil gag that was posted on another forum. I have no idea who originally created it but it is pure genius..

I don't think I could ever stand making a television series upon my writing.. Too many little details and feelings that would likely not be conveyed.
How much do you think original creator actually influences the TV series? Never?

If I recall correctly Terry Goodkind did have influence on the series. I also think he understood why certain things couldn't really transfer from book to film. Some aspects of the books (Though still superior in my opinion) would easily take up the span of three or four episodes.
All in all I think he was happy enough with the TV series and wants fans of his books and the series to enjoy it for what it is. A retelling of his book(s).
Besides.. why would you read the books if you watched the series and it was exactly like the books? Or why would you watch the series if it's just going to play out exactly like the books?

And there's -some- people who think that everything's better with explosions. There's a line at some point between 'touching up' and 'whoring' isn't there? I'd hate for anybody's series to be given the Michael Bay touch of death.
